Fun Places to See in Italy
Everyone should see Italy once before they die. It’s the heart of the Roman Empire, perhaps the most influential civilization that ever lived and the country still holds much to take your breath away. If you are planning on a trip, consider the two options options below to make the most out of it.
A Cinque Terre vacation will show you a side of Italy you may not have expected. The coastline isn’t sandy beaches like you’ve seen elsewhere. Instead you’ll find rugged landscapes bathed in Italian sun. There are few roads in Cinque Terre which give it a very traditional appeal when compared to more modern offerings like Venice and Rome. But there are few sights in Italy as beautiful as the many houses that dot the rocky cliffs of Cinque Terre.
Sardinia vacations are another opportunity you must take. Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean and actually autonomous from Italy. In fact, locals prefer to be called Sardinian, not Italian and they have their own language. While the island itself is gorgeous, you must dine on their unique cuisine as much as possible. It’s to die for, especially the homegrown meats.
While every trip to Italy should involve Rome and the many historical sites that come with it, there’s no reason you can’t sneak away to see the above two locations. Each are breathtaking in their own right and sure to inspire.
